Flitter Helm

The flitter helm is a new type of helm that has begun appearing throughout Wildspace and the known spheres. It is produced by the Arcane to the specifications of elven designers. The flitter helm is designed to be used in ships of 2 tonnage or less.

The flitter helm functions exactly like a minor helm. The only restriction is that the vessel it powers must be of a tonnage of 2 or less. If the ship is heavier than 2 tons, the helm will not function at all. Hence, it is perfect for small flitter type ships.

The creation of the flitter helm allows for the development of new, small, attack craft. The IEN High Command has already begun installing these helms in their small flitters. The other spacefaring powers have begun to design their own flitter type craft. The elves themselves are developing several new designs derived from the basic flitter that would allow them to keep their dominance in Wildspace.
